Before I give you my list of my favourite web tools that are sure to assist you to operate remotely, I need to alert you to one more item connected with self discipline and especially to do with keeping your focus and powers of concentration
I’ve discovered and confirmed a common habit in friends who work on the Internet and I’ve known for over a long time line and I call this behavior the fifty minute effect. I discovered these men and women who apply themselves and work for 50 minutes and then always take a whole 10 minute break and are considerably more effective and generate a significantly better quality of work than colleagues who don’t have similar working methods.
OK as promised for your consideration is my list of choice remote working web applications:
Google Mail won’t cost you a penny. My friends and I all agree the search & label (a bit like folders) functions have no equal. The downside is it can be a bit slow on older machines
Phone calls
Skype continually perplexed me as the service quality and reliability was atrocious, but all credit to the coders at Skype now as they have substantially changed the quality of the service. For few dollars a month ! am able to call and conference in any phone and Skype user on Earth. The latest version of Skype has an abundance of very useful functions and there constantly expanding collection of useful add ons.
Organising Content
Evernote has acquired in excess of a million users in no time at all – it lets you to store, organise and add notes to any species of digital content up on the Internet. Just go check it out…it’s free.
Invoicing, Time and Expenses capture, Accounting and CRM
You probably know that my desire to work remotely was originally motivated by Quickbooks Online, a small business accounting software system. But it is no match for the free edition of salesorder.com – a lead to cash system that’s as easy to use as a fork I looked at NetSuite whose pricing (and people) scared me off.
