A Little Nostalgia
Many years ago, when I was just a child, every single company in the world seemed to have 800 numbers to contact for ordering or for customer service. I never really thought about this until I was recently trying to find a toll free number for a company that I was interested in ordering supplies for. I could not find one and I have recently learned that they do not even have one.
I guess that it just goes along with our technologically evolving world. Everyone now has a URL in a place where their toll free number would have once been. I do not mind making my orders online, but I really miss the chance to talk to real people on the phone.
I think that this is especially important when one wants to do business with a company that they have not dealt with before. Maybe I am just being nostalgic, but sometimes I wish that things were still the way they used to be.
