Proud of Me
I grew up in the lap of luxury. I never wanted for anything and I did not worry about anything, as I was well taken care of and knew that all of my needs would always be met. It came as quite a blow, when as a young adult, I found out that the family had gone completely broke.
With this, came the news that I needed to start taking care of myself. I was suddenly scared, as I had never been taught to take care of myself. I contacted Ameriplan to see if someone could talk me through the steps needed to take to have personal health coverage.
I found out that I qualified for discount health and dental plans and I signed up for these. It seems like so long ago, but I am proud that I have been able to do and I know, though they feel terrible, that my parents are proud of me too.
