My Future Step Son will be Driving Soon
My future step son is old enough to get his learner’s permit this year and begin learning to drive. My fiance is worried about his auto insurance quotes going up in order to cover a teen driver and is not sure he is ready to put his son on the policy.
Mike is pretty patient and smart so I think things will be fine and that he will be a good driver once he gets the basic skills learned. Car insurance isn’t so cheap though and with gas prices the highest they have ever been, my fiance isn’t sure he can even come up with the extra money right now.
Hopefully we won’t need the auto insurance just because Mike is driving. I know that some insurance agencies offer discounts for good grades and that might help at least some in our case since he does well in school. I guess we’ll have to get him through the learning permit and see how it all goes.
