No More Fundraising

My oldest child is in kindergarten this year and every year is like this one I am certainly not going to be happy with the amount of fundraising that we as parents are expected to do.  I don’t know how many promotional items he has brought home this year to sell, as I’m sure it is too many to count.

In November, he brought home a catalog of corporate gifts and we were expected, as a family to sell $200 worth.  I think it is ridiculous as I am not going to bother my family and friends several times a month for money for my son’s fundraising causes.

I have no problem with the school trying to sell some promotional products in order to upgrade their playground.  The problem I have is the amount of fundraising that the children are expected to do.  For goodness sakes, he is only five years old, and is not a salesman.
