Over the Top Rings and Cakes
My friend makes wedding cakes for a living and while I was visiting her shop before we went out to dinner one evening recently, I was looking through some of her trade magazines which feature all sorts of wedding related items, including some of the most extravagantly priced engagement rings. Some of them were well over sixty thousand dollars. Can you even imagine?
Several of the magazines featured wedding rings in diamond and mixed colored stones too with the new metal being platinum among the rich and famous. I’m not talking little stones either, they were huge! Some were as large as six carats. That is almost a marble sized rock!
To be fair, the cakes and dresses were as fancy if not more so and my friend can do cakes just like those in the magazines too with detailed candy pieces and extravagant detailed artwork on the cakes. Who would want a cake to eat that is so darn pretty anyway?
