No Credit Cards Accepted Until Further Notice
It was a sad day at work today. You see, our credit card processing terminal broke down for the fifth time in the past seven days and the boss decided that it was time to send it in for warranty work. We had tried to do everything that we could, but it sure seemed that the machine was dying.
Not that you could blame the machine by any means. We have been using the same machine for the past five years now, and up until recently, it has never really been any trouble to us at all. But, just like an old car, sometimes things can get worn out and need a tune up.
It actually took us awhile to find out where we will have to send it tomorrow in the mail, but we finally were able to pack it up so that it is ready to ship out. In the meantime, we have put the following sign on the counter:
"No Credit Cards Accepted Until Further Notice"
I just hope the customers don’t get too angry.
