I don’t usually get very excited when it comes to my birthday.  Every year is pretty much the same with the same guests, and an Angel Food cake.  What bothers me the most about my birthday is the number of gifts I receive that I really don’t want.

Now, I am not trying to sound ungrateful by any means.  Rather, I would like to make a comment about the fact that people spend so much money on gifts that people just don’t want.  Instead, they could just ask the person that they are buying the gift for and get them something that they want.

A good example would be the event tickets my aunt bought me for my birthday.  She asked me what I wanted, and bought it.  Simple as that.  I was so thankful that at least one person listened to my requests this year.  In all honesty, her gift was the best birthday present ever!
