Amazing Grade 9 Kids
I was reading through a bunch of essays that a grade nine class wrote about Tommy Douglas the other day. I was amazed at how well they did and how accurate their information was. I cannot seem to get enough information on this great Canadian man and I have to admit that I did not expect much from a bunch of kids.
Some of these fourteen year old kids’ term papers were so well written that you would have never guessed that they came from a child. There were some that were written far better than I could write and I was so impressed that I just had to let the teacher know what a fabulous class they had.
I was informed that these students don’t have as much coursework so that they can put that extra effort into their projects. It is a test class to see how this works and, judging by the political essays, I would say that it is going very well.
