When I was writing my dissertation, I was inspired by a TV weatherman. I know that this sounds crazy, but it is true. I was writing about change in weather patterns due to a change in the ozone and the ecosystem and one night, while I was watching the news, the weatherman made a comment that made me change the whole makeup of my thesis.
I thought the guy was brilliant with some of the statements that he made to the viewers. I decided that I had to meet the guy. He was going to be the role model for everything that I did in the next four years.
While I was working on my research proposal, I finally met him and got to have a great long conversation with him. He is truly as brilliant in person as he is on television. He even offered me any assistance that I needed and told me to give him a call at any time.
I know it is odd, but I owe my education to a TV weatherman.
