Be Cool, Stay in School
If I could give any advice to my own children, it would be to stay in school. I know that sounds pretty cliché, but I can say it because I am a high school dropout. Back in the day, I was much to cool for essay writing and long division, so I just never did any of the assignments that were given to me.
Of course, it didn’t take very long before I was failing all of my classes and I so could not be bothered to even attend the classes that I was failing. I was told that if I did not start doing the coursework assigned to me that I could forget graduating with my class.
I got angry and became a high school dropout. It was a pretty stupid thing to do on my part, because my teachers even offered to let me write some extra essays to help me to catch up to the rest of the class. I did not take it and now, years later, it is my biggest regret.
