Boys and Boats
I have a little boy who is completely fascinated with boats. He would live on a boat if he could. He has a large number of toy boats and is totally in his glory when we take him out on the lake for a day of summer sun and fun. He is absolutely fascinated with large boats, and especially with boat horns.
In fact, for his birthday, he asked, not for a boat, but for a boat horn. We were a bit taken aback by this and had absolutely no idea how to get him what he wanted. We decided to check out a local hobby store and see what they suggested.
It was suggested that we try some air horns. I thought about it, but worried that they were a bit too loud and I wanted something a bit quieter. We were directed to some model boats, complete with horns. He was a bit young for the models, but we thought we could maybe install the horns on some of his toy boats. And you know what; it worked! He was a happy boy and I was a happy mom.
