My father’s sixtieth birthday is coming up, and I have been having problems picking out a good gift for him.  I don’t know about you, but I find it really hard to buy a good present for my parents – if they really wanted something, they could just go out and buy it.

So I have been brainstorming for a number of weeks now for what to get him.  He has always talked about how he has wanted a Rolex for a number of years, and strangely he has never bought one.  I knew that I couldn’t afford the real thing, so I thought I could get him one of those watch replicas I have heard about over the years.

Thankfully, there is a couple of stores in town that sell replica watches – so I went to check all of them out.  I went to a real watch store, so that I would know what a real Rolex watch looked like.  I needed some sort of basis for comparison to the eventual Rolex replica watch I would buy him.

At a few of the stores, the replicas were horrible and obviously poorly made.  But there was one store that had one that was indistinguishable from the real thing – and I bought it. 

I look forward to giving him the watch of his dreams for his birthday – I am sure to be his favorite daughter after he sees what I bought him.
