Getting Out Of the Box
I, like most young adults, was raised thinking that the most important thing in life was a good education. So, like a good little girl, after high school I went straight to college. While I was there, I felt so lost and out of place, but I was making my parents proud, so what else was there for me to do.
I was sitting in class one day and I started to wonder what I was really doing there. The richest people that I read about were not the ones that had great university educations. They were the ones that were able to think outside the box. And, as far as I am concerned, going to college was the epitome of inside the box.
I dropped out of college during my second year and all I heard from anyone who cared about me was ‘What is your next choice?’. My next choice was to do something that made me both happy and successful.
I started doing things that interested me and talking with people with whom I could meet and grow rich with. It has been successful and I actually love what I do now. I know that I made the right choice for me.
