Small Town Realtor - Sort of Helpful
I went to the real estate place in a small town where I was looking to buy some investment properties in. They had a pretty smart setup, because they had a realtor’s office right beside the bank - a great way to get mortgage leads.
I had just decided to drop-in to see what deals they had as it was on my way home. I explained in about five minutes what I was looking for, and I asked what they had to offer.
Well, I don’t know if I explained things poorly, but the guy just didn’t get it. He was trying to sell me a home to live in and talk about the types of FHA loans the bank could offer until I told him to stop.
I tried to explain it again and he got it the second time. Unfortunately, they had no properties that matched my criteria, but he took down my information down and offered to contact me the next time they did. He also said he could put a "good word" in for me if I wanted to look at the mortgage loans the bank offered, but I passed.
It turned out to be an interesting (not yet profitable) trip.
