Baby Blues

After the birth of my second child, I was diagnosed with post-partum depression. My doctor suggested that I take an antidepressant until I started feeling like myself again. My husband and I discussed it and decided it was probably best to do this. I did some research and thought I would buy Zoloft.

I have a friend who orders Prozac online and thought this might be the more economical route, so I looked into doing this as well. I didn’t want to do anything without discussing it more thoroughly with my doctor.

At my next appointment, we decided the best thing for me would be to order Paxil. It is one of the easier antidepressants to wean yourself off of. I started taking them and within three month, I was feeling a lot better. I stayed on it for six months and then slowly weaned myself off.

I am now expecting my third child and am well aware of the fact that I could easily get depressed again. I am glad that I will see the warning signs this time around and that I will not be nervous to get treatment.
