Breath of Fresh Air

Now, I just want to take a minute to talk about dog food factories and production.  I am by no means a "dog food technician" (is that what people that make dog food are called?) or anything like that.  But I do have a story (and a solution) involving dog food.

You see, last summer I was working at a job, where I would be working outside in the yard quite a bit.  Now, this was okay most of the time but sometimes it was horrible.  It wasn’t the heat or the work that was the problem, it was the pet food factory that was right behind us.

On a very hot day, you could barely go outside without throwing up - I am serious.  It was perhaps the nastiest smell that I have ever had the honor of smelling.  I do realize that pet food is a big business, but I don’t see why they would be allowed to pollute the air with that nasty smell without any repercussions.

Remember I have a solution?

Did you know that you can make homemade dog food?  To be honest I had no idea.  But, I happened upon a book one day (while buying dog treats) that had recipes that you could make for your puppy - talk about cool.  I bought the book for the dog for Christmas (lucky puppy) - and we tried them out.  I am happy to say that the food doesn’t stink, and Rex likes it better than store bought food.

Say no to the stink - make dog food at home.
