Expanding My Home Business

As some of you know, I have a home business.  Needless to say, the past year or so, the business has grown beyond my ability to do it all myself.  So, I am going to hire my first employee - and I need to setup some office space for them.

Unfortunately, I don’t have any extra office furniture kicking around.  You see, I sold my old furniture last year at my garage sale, so I will need some new furniture to replace what I sold.

I have decided that I am going to buy a desk and a office chair to get started.  I have found some potential pieces in the catalog I have from our local home office furniture store, but I wanted to go see it in real life before I bought it.

Going down to the store, I realized just how many options there were - and I felt a little overwhelmed.  Taking to one of the associates, they showed me what my selections looked like in real life.

Now, the desk was pretty simple.  All I had to do is pick the color of the desk and that was about it.  The chair was a little different.  You see, they had more mesh office chairs in the store than they had in their catalog.  I ended up picking something a little different than I had planned, but I am happy with my choice.

So, the furniture is going to arrive later next week, but my new employee starts on Tuesday.  So, for the meantime, we are going to have to share my desk - or use the kitchen table.  Now all I need to do is finish my operations manual for them - and then I can get back to making more money.  That is what really gets me excited.
