Parents: A Call to Action
Yes you read the headline - if you are a parent, this article is for you. This is a call to action - a challenge if you will - for all parents to get more parent involvement in education.
Now when I say education that can be many things. In fact even something as simple as reading a book to your child would help them to learn - and that would count as parent involvement. Basically, any opportunity that you can do something to help them learn a new skill, get them to help you with something, or even just by including them in a shopping trip will help them grow as people.
I challenge you all to have some parent involvement in schools - whether your volunteer on field trips, join a school committee, or have your business donate prizes to the school carnival. Just by helping out, you can increase the level and quality of the education that your children receive. Not only will your child benefit, but the other kids will too.
So parents step up to the challenge - get involved in your child’s education - not only will it help them, it will help their friends too.
