Finding New Directories
A couple times each week I look for new places to promote my website. I cover a lot of different types of websites in my search - forums, article directories, web directories, and blogs. My goal is to do whatever I can to get the word out about my sites - without spamming.
Lately I have found an invaluable resource for finding new places to promote - blogs. For example, the one directory blog I read keeps me up to date on the trends in the industry as well new directories hitting the market. I feel that by staying on the cutting edge of the industry, it gives my website promotion the extra edge I need to stay ahead of my competition.
I have been spending a lot of time lately submitting my site to these human edited directory sites I find. I know that the free directories don’t approve sites quickly, but I think of it like a plant - you plant the seed and it will grow. And it shows: my site rankings have continuously improved each month, every month. So, obviously I am doing something right - so I will just keep doing it.
