Simple Distractions Take Too Much of my Time
Do you ever notice how when you take a break from whatever you are doing, it never really is a short one? I find that especially if I am working on something that I don’t particularly enjoy, that I can get easily distracted.
I also find that since I have had Internet, it has been a lot easier to be distracted. You might find yourself sitting down to play one game, then all of a sudden you have been playing free online games for the last three hours. I suppose you could argue that you were playing some educational game and you are now smarter, but that doesn’t change the fact that your work is not done.
For me, a really big distraction is funny videos. This is especially true if you find a really good one in the first few you watch - it becomes a treasure hunt to find more videos to watch. A big problem with videos is that there are thousands upon thousands from all over the world - and it sure takes a lot of time to watch them all!
Alright. I am actually supposed to be doing work, but I even got a little distracted here by blogging. I need to get back to what I am supposed to be doing… but maybe I can find something better to do later - the work that I am supposed to be doing isn’t that important, right??
