First of all, I am not trying to say that bankruptcy is funny. It is not a laughing matter when you cannot keep up on your credit card and mortgage payments. That sucks. Nor is it fun when you sit there getting grilled while going through a bad credit remortgage.
Mortgages and credit cards aside, there are some funny aspects to a bankruptcy - it is all in the interpretation.
First off, you can get some crazy reactions from people. Try out the following, guaranteed to make you laugh, bankruptcy prank.
- Tell one of your friends you went bankrupt and lost everything because you couldn’t pay back you loans, credit cards, etc.
- In the next breath ask them to borrow a hundred bucks
- Laugh at the face they make.
It is situations like these you just can’t help but laugh. People just look at you with the dumbest face and man it is funny. Here is one more thing you can try out.
Walk into a bank and say your are interested in getting a credit card. Go sit down with the banker and when they ask you if you have ever been bankrupt say yes. When they ask how long ago, repeat the following phrase:
"I went bankrupt yesterday."
Watch the stunned look on their face! All I will say is that if you are or have gone bankrupt, even though your situation sucks, you might as well have some fun with it. Besides, I am sure the laughing will cheer you up!
