Looking for a Good Doctor
If you are like most people, at one time or another you need to visit the doctor. I know I go (mostly because my wife makes me) once in a while for a checkup. Considering it is your life they are dealing with, you depend on your doctor to be competent and knowledgeable. Not unlike getting your car fixed, you want to go to your doctor and get the answers (and maybe solutions) you need to keep your body working properly the first time.
Unfortunately that doesn’t always work in real life.
We have been fortunate to have had a good family doctor for the last decade or so and he is young enough that we should have quite a few years left before we need to look for a new one. Unfortunately, my sister recently moved and needs to find a good pediatrician for her newborn son.
She has just moved to Ridgefield, Connecticut as her husband transferred jobs. Ideally she could ask her friends on who they recommend as a good doctor, but since they are new to the town and know nobody, that is not an option. Instead she found a few good prospects in the yellow pages under Ridgefield Pediatricians and has contacted a few to meet and hopefully chose one for her son. I hope it goes well for her.
