Fixing A Plugged Toilet
It seems like it has been many years since I have plugged a toilet. Usually, this is something that you usually don’t have a problem with once you have experienced it a number of times. You learn how much toilet paper that you can put in before it plugs up. It is as simple as that…
Or so I thought.
It seems that my two year old daughter doesn’t know that putting a whole roll of toilet paper in the toilet is a bad idea. Unfortunately, I thought that the whole roll would go down the toilet, but it didn’t. I did manage to get about half of it down before the toilet flooded.
So I brought out the trusty plunger and tried it.
Unfortunately, it did not seem that the plunger could handle it. Out of options, I took a look online at home plumbing repair websites in search of a better way to unplug the toilet.
I learned that I did have another option: I could get a closet auger.
I went over to my favorite hardware store and purchased one and rushed home. I followed the instructions and did finally remove the clog.
After I had cleaned up, I gave my daughter a little talk - whether she understood it, I will have to wait and see…
